Magnificent building but still work needs to be done to make it customer friendly.
The staff were great and the building amazing. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Food was nice but limited.
Room 3. The curtains did not shut properly. In the bedroom. The bathroom window only had a lace curtain. The bathroom door did not close unless locked. First time using the loo the door just swung open. The information pack could only be accessed by QR which is lazy especially as the QR code would ot connect

Relaxing visit, let down by the room
Staff were brilliant, all of them. Leisure facilities were OK, nothing special but provided a relaxing experience which was the main point of our stay. We had a nice walk around the grounds and the setting is really lovely. Both Dinner and Breakfast were good. Dinner menu felt a little pricey, but the quality of the food was sufficient to warrant it.
The room was a let down, mattress was too soft and left both of us with aches and pains in the night, not a good night's sleep. Behind the curtains and then the sheer curtain, the windows had paint peeling off of them, it's not a big deal but surely could be easily remedied. The bath had a brown stain in it, running down from the tap to the plug hole, overall these things put a downer on the room and left us feeling that the room was overpriced.

5* location, 2* hotel.
Absolutely stunning location
Looked a bit tired. Food was grossly overpriced for what it was. Room phone didn’t work and neither did the aircon. A group of teenage lads were roaming about the hotel causing trouble which clearly happens frequently and the hotel don’t do anything to prevent which wasn’t pleasant as a lone female traveller.

Did not come up to expectation.
The room was fine the grounds were lovely
Rooms weren't close together the bar had no ambience the beer was of poor standard either watered down or unclean pipes. Music in the bar was the music you would expect in a lift. We appreciate it has just been taken over. Hopefully these comments will be seen as constructive.
